HD usually means simply that you can use an HD source such as sky or cable TV, not a built in Freesat or Freeview HD reciever built in.
It is a fairly easy mistake to make with TV technology changing at such a pace.HD equipped TVs do cost a little more but they do repay in with HD giving you a far better picture.
Heres the rub some TVs have atrocious picture quality,so the Addition of HD makes perhaps a slight difference,and leaves people thinking what all the fuss is about.
The make of TV that we always recommend now is Samsung,LG picture quality wise as taken a serious nose dive,as have Panasonic and other top manufacturers.
Our advice again is to use a small TV specialist, you may pay more but you will receive a far better standard of service and advice than one of the big outlets,and one that as been there a good while serving its surrounding areas.
These shops tend to have a lot of integrity and respect amongst people, otherwise they wouldn't have stayed in business for very long.
