Freeview Boxes.

You certainly don't need a brand new television to receive freeview,so don't let a pushy salesman persuade you otherwise.
In fact any old ancient black and white portable telly, can be used with  freeview  with a suitable box.
Back in 2003 the average freeview box retailed for around £100, prices now are  £15 or so from comet currys etc.
So if your faithfull old conventional TV set is doing its job, their is no reason what so ever to go dumping it and buying the latest LCD telly or plasma infinite no of inches super widescreen
.

Freeview boxes are prone to freezing, especially the cheaper units.
The best freeview units are in our opinion made by Humax and Samsung.
We will be publishing a detailed guide to freeview boxes and the best units in the near future.
